Card

Hola! For my Papier's DT project this week, I did a simple card using Slice.

This is a simple card created with Slice. It's amazing what you can do with Slice.

- Select a shape, place the Slice onto the card base, (place it in the middle or wherever you want) & cut.

- cut out the same shape in different sizes from another pp, layer them with double sided tape for a raised effect.

It's that simple!

Materials used: MM Flutter pp, MM Vintage Findings pp, Crate Paper pp, Plain cs, Glitz Stickles, Ice Stickles, Black StazOn.
Slice design card: Wedding, Seasons

"Raya" Layout & Altered Utilities Holder

For my Papier's DT assignment this week, I did a layout & altered project using my beloved Slice.

My 12x12 layout

For the base, I used Crate Paper pp. To further enhance the base pp, I stamped the background with Hero Arts stamp using Encore Metalic Gold inkpad & added Ice stickles. For the side borders, I used Martha Steward puncher.

To create this flower, please go to Papier's blog HERE for the details.

Simple flowers cut out from Slice.

Materials Used : Slice Wedding, Basic 3 & Studio Essentials design card, Crate Paper Little Sprout Collection pp, Crate paper Cottage Collection pp, Dear Lizzy + American crafts pp, Dark brown cs, Martha Steward puncher, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Smooch Pearlized Spray Ink, Clear embossing powder, Hero Arts stamp, , Distress Ink, Encore Metalic Gold inkpad, Brilliance Pigment Ink, Solvent Ink, Ice stickles, Glitz stickles & Buttons.

My altered utilities holder

Last week I did a 'paperless' altered clipboard. This week I altered this utilities holder but its not paperless. It's 100% using Slice. It's really simple and easy to do.

For the top, I cut out varities of shapes, distress the edges, add stickles and layer them together.

For the bottom part, I want it to be simple. I stamped it with black StazOn and add gliters to it.
The tag : Cut out the shape from the Slice design card, layer it with another tag smaller in size. Emboss the wordings, colour the background with chalk and add stickles.

This is the outcome. Simple and I like it. Oh, it's also my mini ribbon holder.

Materials used: mm flutter pp, Crate Paper pp, Plain cs, Ice stickles, Glitz stickles, StazOn, Rhonna Farrer double scroll clear stamp, Pebbles Inc Chalk Kit, LePlume Marker.
Slice design card: Wedding, Noteworthy, Basic 3, Basic 1 and Vintage Findings.

It's amazing what you can do with the Slice. That's all from me this week. Hope you like it.

Note: If you know how to position the Slice, you will save a lot of paper!

'Paperless' Altered Clipboard

Hola! It's Wednesday & it's my turn to share with you my DT assignment for Papier. It's an altered art project.

I altered a clipboard and it's paperless! It's a simple project of what you can do with your stamps + other mediums. Visit papier's blog [HERE] for the step by step guide.

Try it. Its fun!

My scrapping room & table is in a mess, I am so in the mood to paint. Using the same technique, I made this to put my LePlume and other markers.

You can also use the flower stamp to embellish your LO. Stamp on a plain cardstock, cut out the pattern & colour it with LePlume marker. You can jazz it up with stickles / embossing powder etc.

That’s it for today. Just a simple project from me. Hope you like it.
Cheers....

Altered wooden tray

Hola! Early this year, I wanted to try something else, so I did this altered wooden tray. It took me 2 weeks to finish it. A lot of little details involved. It's not just for display I do use it at home. It's nice to alter something and use it as well.

Will upload more of my altered projects. If you happen to be at Papier, do check out my altered cake stand that is on display there. Till then, have a nice weekend.

Family Ties

My first canvas layout that I did early this year. Decided to give it a try and this is the outcome. I love playing with colours & I love my 'Slice'.

Materials used : Prima flower, ScrapFx chipboard. Arcylic paint, Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad. Tools : Slice (flourishes & page corners) & cuttlebug dies (butterfly).

Pieces of Me

Doing this canvas layout is so much fun. Put my heart n soul into it. It is so me, Pieces of me!

Always

My 8x8 inches layout. I guess I can say its done 100% using Slice. Yup, all of it. I even cut the photo with Slice. Wassup with me & Slice? I so love this portable digital cutting machine and the hands free kit is a must have. It makes cutting a lot easier. I would say its not only hands free but its hassle free. LOL...

Gals movie outing

Its gals nite out @ retail therapy & movie outing (Confessions of a Shopaholic).
Oh, I forgot to scrap our 'team edward vs team jacob' outing. Perhaps I should do a mini album about it.

As usual, I use Slice to make the embellishments. I so love my Slice!

Simply amazing

Didn't have the time to do the title for this layout. This is my fav layout (at the mo).

Materials used : Tim Holtz masks & Distress inkpad, Encore metallic inkpad, Ranger stickles, Flowers (using Slice), Swirl (dies from Sizzix), Cuttlebug embossing folder

Mini Album - Dear

I enjoy doing mini album. It's easier to embellish. It's a mini album of me. I like the end result, love the colour combination.
Can't provide much details on the materials used, I forgot to write it down.

Materials used : Maya Road chipboard album

A day at the beach

There's no end to it, doing housework that is. It's never ending, cooking, laundry etc etc. I don't get the chance to scrap everyday, at times I don't even have the time to scrap. Decided to take a short break & I manage to do a simple layout.

I would rather scrap than take a nap. Wouldn't you?

Mini Album - My story

Mini album of my son. I used thick chipboard to make the cover, paint it with arcylic paint (green, blue & silver) and stamp randomly around it to add patterns. Its simple and I like it.

Bloggie blog

I started scrapbooking in 2007 and am totally hooked! I don't have a specific style. I love trying out new techniques. I enjoy making mini albums, altered arts, canvas layout, cards, etc etc... I'm a stamper at heart and can never get enough of it.

I love my Slice, and that's the reason why my work is mostly embellished using Slice. Apart from Slice, I also use Pazzles and dies from Sizzix, Cuttlebug & Spellbinders.

Scrapbooking is a way for me to channel any negative energy into something positive (a good way to distress) & it's my 'me-time'.
