Papier's Dec DT 4th Challenge - FUN Photo Cube

It's 'Papier's Dec DT Challenge' with a lil twist. The fourth / last challenge is a photo cube and to include / use any of the items from the list of supplies.

This is my take for the photo cube. Pictures of my kids (taken few years back) with their artwork.

I paint the edges with TH Distress Crackle Paint- Black Soot, stamped randomly on it using white inkpad, cut the pp, score it and paste it. I also put a small magnet to keep this page closed.

The inside when you open it.

1- US

2- Goofy

3- FUN together

4- Cute

For the bottom part, I used the cupboard's knob and glue it to the four corners of the cube.

I decorate the top part with flowers cut out using the TH Tattered Florals Dies.

Very simple isn't it. If you haven't done a photo cube project, you should try it out. Its fun and it can be a deco on the coffee table.

Till then, Happy crafting and wishing you HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Papier's Dec DT 3rd Challenge - Altered Project

It's 'Papier's Dec DT Challenge' with a lil twist. The third challenge is an altered project and to include / use any of the items from the list of supplies.

I love to recycle, in fact I try to recycle whatever and whenever I can. Do you remember my altered cereal box mini album? You can read about it HERE.

For Papier's Dec DT third challenge, with same concept in mind, RECYCLE!

I used the top part of a PIZZA BOX.

This is what I created with the Pizza Box. It's a wall hanging deco. Love to CREATE, ART, always, imagine, dream.

Cover it with gesso. Once dry, paint it with TA Glimmer Mist, leave it aside to dry. Then lightly apply another colour of TA Glimmer Mist -lightly & randomly. This will give you a nice 'marble' effect.

I used the TA Regal Classic Accents Stamp to add some patterns to the background. Tear some pp and paste it randomly onto the box.

For the TH Tattered Florals, I mist it with TA Glimmer Mist, jazz it up with Stickles and layer them together.

I used distress ink to colour the 'CREATE' chipboard.

I cut out the pp and layer them using foam dots.

I raised the alphabet A, R, & T, so it becomes CREATE ART.

That's my take for the Papier's Dec DT third challenge. Thanks for looking and don't forget to RECYCLE whatever you can.

Papier's Dec DT 2nd Challenge - Card

Hey hey! Its the second week of the Papier's Dec DT Challenge with a lil twist. The 3 of us (Amelia, Sharm & myself), were given the same kit and to create 4 projects out of it. Our projects will then be reveal every monday of this month. What's the twist? Ontop of the kit given, we are required to use a list of supplies as well.

The first challenge was to do a LO. For this week @ the second challenge is to do a card and to include / use any of the items from the list of supplies.

This is my take for this week challenge. Its a swing card. A simple swing card. Very simple!

The Front

The Inside

To create the Santa Claus, I used the Slice Noel Design Card- I used red cs to cut out the base shape of Santa, then I cut out white cs using the layer setting and glue it ontop of the base shape. The presents, I used MS puncher (GIFTS). I punched the plain cs, cut out the presents to separate it, I then layer them using foam dots and add stickles to it.

The embellishment is cut out using Slice Noel Design Card and I stamped randomly on to the background.

I'm a year older today!

Its my birthday today. Am a year older! I'm thankful for everything! I wouldn't want to change it any other way! I'm blessed with a loving and wonderful family, am so thankful for that!

December is always a busy month for me. Sighhh... I've made up my mind, I'll be taking a short break from scrapping from JUNE 2011 to OCTOBER 2011, to concentrate on my daughter. She'll be sitting for her PMR exams next year. Have to focus on her, tutor her and give her the support. Thats the sacrifice that I have to make. Next year, instead of scrapping, I'll be busy reading her books to tutor her. hahaha...

Birthday cuppies from Papier. They're yummy.

To my gurlfrens, thanks for the birthday wishes & presents. I heart u gurls! Oh, this year instead of our usual 'shop shop eat eat shop shop' birthday routine, I did a scrapbook birthday party @ Papier. Celebrate it with my gurlfrens earlier this month. It was fun! Its their first time scrapping, hope they enjoy it.

Red Velvet cuppies, homemade by my dear fren Nora. Simply delicious!

I heart you gurls! Though we don't see each other often but we're always there for one another. Thanks for such a wonderful friendship.

My altered notebook that I made for each of them.

Have a nice day!

Papier's Dec DT 1st Challenge - Layout

Hey hey! Happy December to you! As you may already know, for this month we were given a challenge. It's the 'Dec DT Challenge' with a lil twist. Ohhh, and you (yes you!) you've got a role to play, an important role!

The 3 of us (Amelia, Sharm & myself), were given the same kit to work on and to create 4 projects out of it. What's the twist? Ontop of the kit given, we are required to use a list of supplies as well. That = Headache. A split headache more like it! Your role is to vote for your choice of DT. Go to Papier's blog, cast your vote at the top page of the right column. Oh, you might get a chance to win a little RAK from Papier.

The first challenge is to do a LO and to include / use any of the items from the list of supplies.

Am sure we all love stamps. Who doesn't right? They're irresistable. I embellished my LO with the Prima Build-A-Bauble stamp set.

Stamps + mediums = FUN! I used the mediums to colour my stamped image. I stamped the pattern onto a plain cs, colour it with the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist & Glimmer Glam and cut it out. I was inspired by Miley Cyrus's song -The Climb. I love the song, the lyrics is so meaningful.

I used plain black cs for the base of my LO coz I want the stamping effect to stand out. This is what I came up with.

I used TH Decorative Accents dies to cut the grungepaper then embossed it with TH Regal Flourishes embossing folder.

Love the glittery effect and the colour mixtures of Glimmer Mist & Glimmer Glam.

Do try out the Glimmer Mist & Glimmer Glam. Thanks for looking!

Note: Don't forget to vote for your choice of DT at Papier's blog. To vote, go to the top page of the right column.

Are You Feeling Groovie Nov Challenge

Hey hey. I'm in the mood to play along. Am submitting the above LO for the November challenge at Are You Feeling Groovie. The challenge is to include chipboard anyway, anyhow in the layout. More details HERE.

I decided to scrap a picture of my one and only niece. She's so cute, I heart her oh so very much! The pic is taken few months back, I went shopping and she tag along. She's showing off her new pink with blings headband that I bought for her. It's all about pink, blings and butterfly! That's my niece, Alisya Iris.

Using my Sizzix Flourish Dies, I cut out the plain chipboard and paste pp onto it. The photo corners and "unforgettable" chipboard is from WRMK. I also did some random stamping onto the background.

"There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again" -Elizabeth Lawrence.

Altered Cereal Box - 'Me' Mini Album

Stop! Don't throw away the cereal box! Recycle it. Today, for Papier DT Project, I'm sharing with you my altered cereal box using my beloved Slice. I created a mini album.

I used plain c/s to create this mini album, a lot of stamping and inking added.

- To make the base, select a shape from the Noteworthy Slice Design Card (size 4in) and cut out the cereal box.

- Use the same shape and size, cut out the c/s and paste it onto the base (cereal box cutouts).

For the cover of this mini album, I used Studio Essentials Slice Design Card (size 3in) and cut out the middle section to create a window. As you can see, a lot of stamping and inking going on here.

Me, I am a...
The alphabet m & e is from the Applique Basics Slice Design Card (size 1.5in).

Daughter. "Think BIG thoughts but relish small pleasures. -H.Jackson Brown Jr."

Sister. "We are always the same age inside. -Gertrude Stein."

Wife. "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. -Antoine de Saint."

Mother. "Flowers have the sun, children have their mothers."

Give it a try, make one for yourself and do share it with me. Happy scrapping!
