Gone but not forgotten.... Mom, u r Forever in my heart

Its been so long since my last blog post. I didn't even get the chance to wish everyone happy new year and its almost the end of february.

I've been busy with stuff & couldn't find the time to update. My bad, yea I know. Will try my best to update more often from now on.

Well, 2011 went by so quickly, left me with lots of sweet & bitter memories. I will never forget 9/12/11. My beloved mom passed away on this very day. (sudden death). Its been hard for me to deal with her death & its harder to move on as every little thing that I do, reminds me of her.

Its even harder as she passed away 4 days before my birthday! My birthday will never be the same ever again! Nothing will ever be the same again. I still remember, just a few days before she passed away, we shared a slice of red velvet cake. I told her thats the cake I want for my birthday. We made plans for my birthday. Little did I know that she'll be gone forever and thats the last cake I'll ever share with her.

My last memories with her, is that red velvet cake. Everytime I look at red velvet cake, it brings tears to my eyes. On my birthday, I waited for her call to wish me happy birthday. I forgot that she's gone ... forever. I cried when i realised she's gone, they'll be no more wishes, phone calls, presents, hugs, jokes.... There'll be nothing from this day onwards, and I feel so empty inside.

Its not easy dealing with sudden death, gone, just like that. So many things I want to share and do with her. Sighhh.... All I have now, are memories of her and me. I will never forget it and she'll forever be in my heart, always.

Life is too short!

Mum, I luv you and miss you oh so dearly!

'Remember' Mini Album

Hello happy crafters! Time flies when we're having fun. The month of May is coming to an end. This is my last entry for Papier. I'm taking a short break from my DT post for Papier, I will be back hopefully end of this year. I decided to take a break as I have many things to juggle in the next few months. I will still scrap, thats for sure. You can check out my blog for updates and more projects / creations by me.

This month its all about stamping and this is my last posting for Papier as I'm taking a break. Presenting my mini album with lots and lots of stamping. Hope you are inspired to start stamping and create your own pattern paper and embellishements.

I was inspired by my butterflies stamp collection, so I decided to use it and create my background pp for the whole mini album. Butterflies everywhere. I also stamped the sentiments and the journaling tag.

Do you like my creation of pattern paper? Give it a try, take out your stamps, start stamping and create your own background. It's easy and fun. Till then, happy stamping!

Materials used: My Mind's Eye pp, Plain cs, Pink Paislee pp, Rubber stamps & Clear stamps, Distress Ink, Liquid Pearls, Stickles, Tim Holtz Tissue tape, Acrylic paint, Jenni Bowlin chipboard button, Lace, Sizzix Dies.

2 cards & a bookmark holder

Hey hey! This month, its all about stamping. For Papier's DT project this week, instead of doing LO, I did 2 cards and 1 bookmark holder. I am not a card person, am not good at making cards. So here it is, my simple cards done up with some stamping using my stamps collection. Its fun to stamp stamp stamp!

This is what I created for Papier's DT project this week.

My 1st card 'all kinds of thanks'.

My 2nd card 'you make my heart flutter'. Instead of using pp, I make my own pp using stamps. I enhance the stamped image with Stickles, Glossy Accents and Distress Ink.

Instead of a card, how about giving a bookmark. This is a simple bookmark holder with pocket and a transparent cover that I created. My bookmark holder 'Believe in your dreams'.

I embossed the tranparency, punch the pp, add my handmade bloom. I stamped the butterfly image onto a transparency, cut it out and adhere with Glossy Accents.

Inside. The pocket is to hold the bookmark.

The simple bookmark that I created. I prefer flat bookmark, so I just stamped, colour the butterfly image and enhance it with Stickles, Glossy Accents and Distress Ink.

The simplest ever! Till then, happy stamping and enjoy the month of May!

Materials used: My Mind's Eye pp, Plain cs, Distress Ink, Stickles, Martha Stewart Puncher, Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents, transparencies.

You r always curious

Hey hey! This month its all about stamping. It's time to take out those stamps and start stamping. I love fussy cutting but I don't have much to cut in my DT kit from Papier this month so stamping it is. I decided to make full used of my stamps, I keep buying them and it'll be wasted if I don't use it. So, if you are like me, crazy about stamps, how about some stamping this month. Hope you are inspired to start stamping.

This is what I created for Papier's DT project this week. Did some stamping onto the background.

Did some masking using Tattered Angels stencils.

Painted the plain tag chipboard. Distress all the pp.

I used Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz ruler image rubber stamp, stamped it onto the pp and cut it out, then I cut the straight ruler image into 3 sections and glue it down to the pp. The meaning of 'curiosity' is also from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz rubber stamps.

Isn't it simple and fun. Try stamping and make your own embellishments. Till then, happy stamping and enjoy the month of May!

Materials used: My Mind's Eye pp, Plain cs, Pink Paislee pp, Stampers Anonymous Stamps Tim Holtz Collection (Papillon CMS106 & Curiosities CMS104), Tattered Angels stencils, Distress Ink, Liquid Pearls, Plain tag chipboard, Acrylic paint, Basic Grey rub-ons, Alpha stickers, Jenni Bowlin chipboard button.

Dear Dream Big always

Hola crafters! Are you crazy about stamps? I know I am! Whenever I see stamps, I just got to have them. Due to that, I'm having one major storage problem. Hmmm... Got to sort it out.

Today, for Papier's DT project, I did a LO using the new stamps that I bought from Papier to embellish it. Yummy Prima Dress Foam stamp & Unity stamps! Go check em out in Papier, while stocks last. Its fun fun fun playing with stamps. This is what I created.

I stamped the dress form onto plain cs, cut it out, jazz it up with stickles, rhinestones, my handmade mini bloom and adhere it with foam dots. Its a big dress foam stamp, the size is almost 12'x12'!

I paint the plain tag chipboard with red acrylic paint, stamped 'dream.Big' and some patterns on it. I also stamped the sentiment at the side.

Gotta love the Unity stamps.

My handmade blooms.

Till then, happy crafting and enjoy the month of May!

Materials used: My Mind's Eye pp, Plain cs, Pink Paislee pp, Unity Stamps, Prima Dress Foam Stamp, Distress Ink, Liquid Pearls, Martha Stewart puncher, Stickles, Plain tag chipboard, Acrylic paint.

SIL Blog Hop - Week 4

It's week 4 of SIL 2nd Anniversary bloghop by DT Naddy. Details Scrap-It-Lah Blog Hop (Week 4) Challenge. The challenge is to create a 2-photo layout.

I love to play with Distress Ink, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and stamps. For this LO, I used mostly plain cs and make my own pp (except for the leaves and my handmade flower). This is my take for their week 4 challenge.

I used plain kraft paper for the base, to create the pattern I used Distress Ink and Glimmer Mist.

Tear the plain cs, stamp on it and add Distress Ink & Glimmer Mist to jazz it up. I cut-out the leaves and flower using Slice.

Thanks for looking. Have a nice day and happy scrapping sweeties!

Materials used: Kraft cs, Plain cs, My Mind's Eye pp, Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes dies, Tim Holtz stamps, Distress Ink, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Rhinestone.
